What is COVID-19 and Full Form of it?
COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) is a virus strain that was first noticed in Wuhan, China, in December last year. Unless early protective measures are taken, the virus can cause Pneumonia and severe illness in patients infected by it.

Is there any difference between COVID-19, coronavirus, or novel coronavirus?
No. All these terms; Coronavirus disease 2019, coronavirus, or novel coronavirus are used interchangeably. There is no difference between any of these terms.
Is it similar to Swine flu?
No. Swine Flu originated from pigs while the origin of coronavirus is still unknown. However, coronavirus is also zoonotic, which means that the virus is found in animals and sea creatures. Another big difference is the mortality rate! Swine Flu had less than 1% global fatality rate when it was termed pandemic but coronavirus is maintaining a deadly fatality rate of 3-4%.

Will Coronavirus go away on its own in summer?
There is absolutely no scientific evidence to prove that coronavirus will go away on its own in summer. The novel coronavirus is a tough compound and can stay active in hot, humid and cold seasons.
If I haven’t gone to infected countries in the recent past, then am I immune to the virus?
Yes. If you haven’t gone to infected countries in the last three-four months then you have relatively less chance of getting infected. Just maintain social distancing and avoid coming in contact with the people who have recently come from the coronavirus-affected regions.

Which are the countries that are badly affected due to coronavirus?
At present, coronavirus has affected more than 100 countries. However, Italy, Iran, Spain, Germany, China, France, South Korea, Switzerland, UK, and the Netherlands among other European countries top the chart with the highest number of patients suffering from COVID-19.
Is social distancing means to stop using social media on smartphones?
No. Social distancing and social media have nothing to do with each other. Social distancing means reducing your interaction with the people and avoiding crowded places. However, you can still interact and communicate with the people on social media and other networking sites.
How do I take care of any coronavirus-infected person?
You have to keep him or her in an isolated place at your home or hospital depending upon the severity of the case. Always wear a protected and medicated mask while interacting with them. Give them food and medicines on time as per the advice of the doctor.

Which is more dangerous: Dengue, common flu or coronavirus?
As far as the mortality rate is concerned, then of course, coronavirus comes on top with 3-4%. On the other hand, common flu and dengue have a worldwide death rate of around 1 to 2% every year.
Do animals cause COVID-19 in humans?
Yes. The novel coronavirus is zoonotic and has its origin in animals, but even after 3-4 months, scientists have failed to find any possible link between coronavirus and a particular animal or creature.
