Do’s & Don’ts for JEE Main 2021
Randomly picking anything / Lack of study plan-
It is a blunder if you are not studying strictly according to the study plan you have made or you have been following. “Where there is no planning, there are no results”.
Not having a right revision strategy can really screw with your chances of getting a good percentile. So, make sure you have the right revision strategy and most importantly you abide by it.
Not being aware about the level of questions asked:
If you haven’t practiced or looked at JEE Mock test &Previous year papers, then try getting the idea of what is usually asked in the exam, the level of questions that are asked. A 100 Rs note holds no value in America, but 1 dollar does.
So make sure you know what you are approaching and prepare accordingly. Don’t waste your time in attempting advanced level problems as JEE Main usually asks easy and formula-based problems.
Lack of concentration:
Because the examination will be computer based, you cannot underline the main points within the question and you may have higher chances to miss out on an important key to solve the question so it is really important that you stay focused.

Read the question very carefully, this is where JEE Main Mock Test comes handy. Try solving at least 10 mocks before the actual exam.
Lack of practice:
DO NOT run after certain topics unnecessarily, you might end up wasting time. Don’t over stress. Not attempting the mocks prior to the exam is a blunder, try to attempt as many exams as possible. The more you practice, the better you become.
Don’t be OVER CONFIDENT that you could avoid negative marking, because you cannot. Mark those questions only which you think you are more confident about to secure maximum marks. Negative marking is something that can really affect your score, so be at your best and stay calm in those 3 hours in the exam hall.
Deal with stress, for that do something recreational activity away from electronic gadgets like mobile phones, video games, television, playstation etc. rather go out for a walk or play.

Make the best out of those 3 hours in the exam hall, apply what you have learned in the last one or two years in the best way possible. Skip questions that are taking time to solve.
No one is going to ask you which question you solved easy or tough, every question equals 4 marks, so focus on getting as many easy questions as possible in your bag in the first hour of the exam.

Check Your Admit Card Prior to the Exam:
Admit cards are about to get released, following points have to be kept in mind. Read your admit card carefully, any discrepancy or error may waste a lot of time.
Candidates must check their admit card carefully for their name, gender, date of birth, paper, timings, center name, city, pincode, category.
In case, you are unable to download your admit card, contact the help centers immediately with required details keeping handy.
Along with the admit card, candidates are required to carry the following documents along with them- one passport size photograph, self declaration or undertaking downloaded from NTA, personal sanitizer, water bottle, one original government approved photo proof identity card.

What not to carry in JEE examination hall 2021?
Eatables, handbags, electronic gadgets, Stationary: Do not carry any stationery including pen, paper, pencil, textual material (printed or written material)pencil box, geometry box etc. Pen/ Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination room.
ID Cards: ID cards issued by schools/ colleges/ universities/coaching centres will not be considered as valid ID. Even photocopies or images stored in mobile phones will not be accepted. Thus, do not carry any of these.We will keep updating you about the minor changes and updates. Stay tuned.
JEE Main 2021 Exam Date:
JEE Main 2021 exam dates are released, will be held on February/March/April and May. The first session exam will be conducted from February 23 to 26, 2021. The examination will be conducted in multiple sessions (February, March, April and May).
